Showcase Showdown #2: Dean wins with 75 cents

Showcase: Joseph wins; Living Room Group, Piano, and Spa ($17,383 in prizes)

Stephanie first pulled a strike out of the bag, but such bad luck did not mean the beginning of the end for her love of the game 3 Strikes and baseball itself. Joseph chose the trip to Boston for what he believed had the wrong price, yet Atlanta’s price seemed to stick out more. There was no Tabasco sauce in the Grand Game today, but for some reason David said “Tabasco sauce” before immediately changing it, but Bob caught him in the “act” anyway. After David found out that the Glad Trash Bags cost more than $4.00, Bob mistakenly called the adhesive supplement (below $4.00) “adhesive tape” before correcting himself. The ticket address was given out after Showcase Showdown #1, but it won’t be long until the online way of obtaining tickets also becomes a regular feature of the show. Our host reminded viewers to stay tuned for the second half of the show today, meaning CBS stations across the country have less time at programming their commercials or promotions. Dean had a good chance at winning every prize in Switcheroo after he was given another 30 seconds, including the Chevrolet automobile, but he still believed that the car’s price had a second pair of double digits side by side ($22,933 or $22,955). According to Dean’s reaction after the Pancake Maker’s price was revealed, he must really enjoy eating the breakfast delight. Shoshanna’s (pronounced Shoe-SHAN-NAH) choice of $885 in Magic # was below the prices of both prizes featured today. Today’s Showcase featured fortune cookies, a Living Room Group, a Trampoline, and a Chevy Impala.
