Interesting sights during the opening, Dashan appeared to be gearing up to punch somebody as he was coming on down and part of the curtains featuring the red CBS eye can be seen in the back. Here’s a historic moment (I checked the archives, yep memory served me right), Jamie is the first Half Off player ever to not rid more than 1 half of the 16 boxes featured on the 3 rows making up “Box Central” (found that in the archives too). Representing Lincoln Athletic Club and the entire state of Michigan, Nathan (not a firefighter, as Bob first assumed according to the shirt) manages to win himself a new home, oh pardon me. I mean new Gazebo and don’t expect him to take Bob’s word of selling his house. After winning himself Home Appliances worth $600 and a $500 bonus, Dashan guessed every single 3 Strikes position right without a strike until it was time to pull out the “8”. By the way, Rich won the bet after he said “bet you’d want a new Cadillac!” and Bob coincidentally guessed Dashan’s year of birth (1976, the Bicentennial of the USA) while coming up with a year which was supposely the last time a 3 Strikes contestant won without a single strike. “Lets keep it going”, said Dashan after his first spin of the Big Wheel and he was right. Ruby bearing a red shirt (fits her name perfectly) showed plenty of affection as she made the stroll to her spot in Contestant’s Row. She happened to be so excited that she forgot what she’s bidding on. Ruby’s sudden state of forgetfulness had no affect on her bid, which earned her $500 and a chance at becoming the owner of a Dodge Neon. It may not be red, but Ruby is too excited and glad to care. Audience opinion didn’t stop Glenda from picking Poppycock Popcorn as another item priced at $3.99. As the audience chanted her name, home wheel spinner Ruby (with Bob’s help) spun her way to becoming a Showcase contestant. Reaction toward Dashan’s bid (about $29,000) for a Showcase consisting of a Bedroom Group and Trip to Switzerland was negative for obvious reasons. We end today’s show with Ruby & Company taking a stroll to the F-150. Rich can been seen clapping for her.
