Some viewers may say Stacy’s laugh sounded forced after hearing about the Range Game’s “37 Hour Rule”, but I believe otherwise. Representing Chicago, Illinois in Contestant’s Row was potential actor and director Maurice, who used his acting skills to express how much he would like to win a car. Like a good majority of the studio audience today, a young person such as Victoria of the University of California would like to win an automobile. After an almost perfect game of Pocket Change, Victoria seemed dazed before someone guided her back into the audience off camera. After shouting “Go Trojans” as the Big Wheel was beginning to stop, Victoria would have another dazed look in her eyes after becoming $1000 richer. Our potential actor and director Maurice ordered those Big Doors to reveal his Pricing Game and two prizes. Joshua’s purchase of eight Honey Buns was enough to hit the $10-12 area of the Bullseye. Celebrating 50 years of life on today’s show was Andriana, who proved her loyalty to the show spanning almost three decades during That’s Too Much. After only three reasons to go higher, Andriana had good reason to say, “That’s Too Much!” on the first price higher than $19,150. Before Maurice’s spin of the Big Wheel, he said “hello” to his grandmother Lorene Gibbs in Missouri. Since Maurice mentioned his grandmother’s place of residence, Bob mentioned that St. Louis is where he and his late wife Dorothy Jo married. According to our host, Maurice was so nervous during Andriana’s spin of the wheel that he had the urge to stop it by hand. Before the first Showcase was revealed, we would learn that Maurice’s first visit to Television City was during the week when our host was recovering from an illness, a rare thing in Bob’s years of hosting the show. Today’s Showcases featured the letters “R”, “A”, and “C’ (in that order) on large cards with the Mark Goodson Television logo on the opposite side and an Arcade Machine featuring three classic video games (including “Donkey Kong” and “Mario Bros.”). We end today’s show with Bob mingling with members of the audience, as every show with a Double Showcase Overbid ends.
