Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6071)
(Original Air Date 10-1-2004)

Most Expensive: Patrick lost; Fire Place, Home Gym, Dining Room Table ($2717)

Plinko: Ashleigh wins $1100 with 5 Plinko Chips

Temptation: Mildred wins; Pontiac Grand AM ($19,475), Vacuum, Piano, Glassware, and Pool/Golf Table

Showcase Showdown #1: Ashleigh wins with $1.00 ($1000)

Squeeze Play: Roseann lost; Trip to Rio De Genera ($6616)

Grocery Game: Steven lost (Total $21.70); Kitchen Appliances and Knives

One Away: Shannon wins; Jeep Wrangler ($18,465)

Showcase Showdown #2: Steven wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Ashleigh wins; "Back" Showcase, Back Packs, Trip to Santa Fe, and Ford Freestar ($36,494 in prizes)

Patrick did right asking for what's currently the highest bid on the Washer & Dryer, which lead to him becoming today’s first contestant on stage. Unfortunately, he had no idea a certain Dining Room Table would cost more than a Home Gym priced at a relatively mere $1300. It took Rich two times and Bob only one to summon Mary to jump and come on down. After 5 Plinko chips, Bob’s latest use of one “expensive Plinko stick”, a couple of unique Plinko chip falls, and Ashleigh’s chip kiss for luck, she left the stage with more than she came with, $1100 to be exact. Mildred representing the great city of Dallas showed neither fear, nor temptation by the prizes surrounding her (not even the Pool/Golf Table, in which Bob viewed as something that “looks like fun”). Before The Price is Right Train (with Ashley as engineer) introduced us to a sofa, Bob had to prove Janet (assumed Rich said her name, actually it was “Shannon”) wrong into thinking she could fool another old fellow. Squeeze Play featured three “6s”, a first according to Bob’s history of the game, yet a majority of the audience forced Roseann into picking the middle “6” for removal. Steven bearing a “I Love Jenn” (even though his future wife’s name is Jennifer) shirt may a need a lesson in shopping after today’s Grocery Game performance. Not even a can of pineapples saved Steven, which resulted in grand total over $21.00. Shannon, yes the same one that dealt with Janet while coming on down, got the chance to test her “ladies, do I have (insert number) right” skills and even earned Bob’s “pretty little girl” compliment. After Roseann tied Steven’s score of 95 cents on the Big Wheel, Steven earned himself the same score shortly after. We end this week’s shows on this first day of October with Ashleigh and family surrounding her Freestar.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6070)
(Original Air Date 9-30-2004)

Make Your Move: Lisa lost; Hot Tub ($4705), Sofa ($899) and Radio ($59)

Grand Game: Jeremy wins $10,000 (Target Price $9.00)

Dice Game: Garrick wins; Ford Focus ($15,312)

Showcase Showdown #1: Garrick wins with 85 cents

Freeze Frame: Crystel lost; Clock ($6425)

On the Spot: Kimberly wins; Chevy Aveo

One Wrong Price: Mariah wins; Cradle, Motorcycle (Wrong Price), and Bar Set

Showcase Showdown #2: Cystel wins with 65 cents

Showcase: Garrick wins; Trip to San Francisco, Charleston, GPS Receivers, and Chrysler Sebring ($54,556 in prizes)

Another day, another first four set of contestants consisting of 3 ladies + a fellow. Nope, nothing suspicious. Bob almost had a problem with future Grand Game contestant Jeremy’s attempt at correcting his bid of $1401 on a kayak, which was thought to be $1301. Lisa had the knowledge of the concept of Make Your Move, but she made a couple of unfortunate moves with the Sofa and Radio. Jeremy was no problem after escaping Contestant’s Row whatsoever. Even hugged Bob after his $10,000 victory. Garrick representing his group of fellow Marines escapes both the audience and Contestant’s Row during the third segment for a chance at some big dice rolling. Like Bob said, Garrick continued to roll a “2” (excluding a “5”) until he got it right on the fourth roll. Garrick, whom we would find out ranks as a sergeant earns a position in today’s Showcase with 85 cents. Oregon’s very own Crystel (a lovely “Crystal” according to this non-mineral expert typing) waited until a second rotation (and a second time to see price $1976, a patriotic price) to freeze her chosen price, which was about $2000 lower than $6425. One fellow in the audience protested for more male contestants during a commercial break. Since Bob doesn’t carry that responsibility, he left it all in Rich’s hands. Mariah would come on down shortly after this incident. Folks, somebody has finally escaped the black spot of On the Spot, and that would be Kimberly after trying out each path. Viewers may have been concerned about Crytel staying on 65 cents, but her instinct remained positive through Mariah and Kimberly’s spins of the Big Wheel, each resulting in going over $1.00. Showcase #1 featured a production of “The Prizelight Zone”, starring a dark-haired Rebecca Pribonic as a victim of her own home and Ashley in the role of a black & white clown riding a scooter. Our sergeant has another automobile in addition to his Focus won previously.

Some of y'all may have wanted me to mention Mr. Rod Serling when typing about "The Prizelight Zone" Showcase. Well there you go, I just did!

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6069)
(Original Air Date 9-29-2004)

Switch?: Danielle wins with a “Switch” ; Grandfather Clock ($3075) and Chair ($2449)

Ten Chances: David wins (6 Chances) ; Riding Lawn Mower ($980), Auto Vacuum ($50), and Dodge Neon ($15,730)

Now or Then: Amanda wins (“Then” March 1997); Trip to Scotland

Showcase Showdown #1: David wins with $1.00 ($1000)

Coming or Going: Meighan wins by “Going”; Bed ($3432)

Shell Game: George wins with 4 chips (First Shell Contained Ball); Dining Room Group (+$500)

Money Game: Deloris wins $166; Ford Focus ($14,205)

Showcase Showdown #2: Deloris wins with 95 cents

Showcase: David wins; Trip to New York, Big Screen TV, and Ford Explorer ($53,054 in prizes)

Before our first “Danny-Elle” this year made her grand escape from Contestant’s Row, a piece of cardboard was being held by a member of the audience with words unclear to most viewers’ eyes. David is not only the proud owner of a DVD Player and discs, but also every single prize he’s won with 10 chances to use wisely. Fortunately, he wised up when writing the correct price of $50 on his fourth chance, which the audience and Bob had doubt was there even being its reveal. Bride Amanda’s first thoughts on the items’ prices featured in Now or Then were less than positive, but she would eventually prevail with only one mistake left behind. David managed to surpass his female opponents during Showcase Showdown #1 with a combined total of 20 and 80 cents. “Old Hippie” (see shirt) Mignonette’s style of coming on down consisted of a little dance (Rich laughed after Bob mentioned it) and her version of hopscotch. Speaking of Mig (hope she doesn’t mind this short form), she meant to say $1800 as her bid on the storage shed once containing Miss Pribonic and Miss Tuite, but she mistakenly pronounced it with an extra zero ($18,000). Nether the less, the shed ($600-$700 range) costs much less than either prices and Meighan’s $1 bid won her way up for the biggest decision of her day, whether she’s “Coming or Going” to win a bed. Loyal friends & true George and Connie (in the audience) celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on today’s Price, but it was this fellow who won an extra $500 after going mistake free in the popular Shell Game. We were this close (two Ford Focus price digits left)) to a perfect show again, but unfortunately Deloris had no knowledge of “el-cheapo”, as someone shouted in the audience. George may have missed the 80 cents during his second spin in order to surpass Deloris’ score of 95, but a $500 bonus remains something worth telling friends and family about. David earned himself a Showcase including a 65-inch TV set; perfect for all those DVD movies he won before taking six out of Ten Chances.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6068)
(Original Air Date 9-28-2004)

Half Off: Kathleen lost (3 Halves; Box #1 contained $10,000)

Bonkers: Charlotte wins; Trip to Singapore ($2989)

Cover Up: Rebekah wins; Pontiac Vibe ($18,720)

Showcase Showdown #1: Kathleen wins with 75 cents

One Right Price: Peggy wins; Treadmill and Dining Room Table ($1195)

Any Number: Keith wins; Pontiac Sunfire ($15,820)

Pick A Pair: Salah wins (Dog Food and Cleaner $3.99) ; Bedroom Group

Showcase Showdown #2: Salah wins with 80 cents

Showcase: Kathleen wins; Grill, Motorcycle, and Boat ($26,571 in prizes)

Before Kathleen participated in an exciting start (a chance to win $10,000), she was actually booed by some members of the audience for bidding $1 over her neighboring contestant. For the second time in Year 33, Half Off’s grand prize of $10,000 was not won, which I believe should have happened with the choices of Box #1 & #8 in front of Kathleen’s eyes. Camera was already focused on Charlotte’s section of the audience before Rich called her to come on down, extending her wedding anniversary celebration with husband J.B. Yet another expansion in Charlotte and J.B.’s anniversary plans, a trip to Singapore after conquering Bonkers without neither Bob, nor the audience making her live up to the game’s name. Rebekah representing the group Bob referred to as one of the many bright folks that watch Price only seconds ago appeared to have no idea of which spot in Contestant’s Row belonged to her. After Rebekah became the third contestant in a row to escape from the right end of Contestant’s Row, some coincidental humor between Cover Up and her shirt revealing the mid section (stomach for the rest of y’all). Showcase Showdown #1 featured a 3-way tie on 85 cents, later a small move of the Big Wheel by Charlotte in which very observant viewers may consider “cheating”. If it were, she would’ve been likely to spin again. Bob noticed audience member Lawrence sitting in the front row wearing a shirt offering chauffeurs service for Price’s Rachel after viewing the Year 32 show featuring her Lucky 7 collision. Peggy of the “Terrible Trio”, as Bob called today’s first 3 contestants besides Kathleen, finally escaped to play One Right Price, followed by Any Number’s Keith. Salah (excellent name to say) ended the breakup of the “Terrible Trio” for one unlucky young lady who wanted to change her bid (to a winning one) earlier, but was too one second too late and Charlotte was the one to escape. Showcase #1 gave Price the chance to fight back against today’s examples of prime time “game shows”, such as Fear Factor, Joe Millionaire, and American Idol (produced by Fremantle Media which stole, er I mean bought out Mark Goodson Productions during the Pearson years). After winning said Showcase in which Salah passed, Kathleen earned herself a handshake from our announcer Mr. Rich Fields.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6067)
(Original Air Date 9-27-2004)

Pushover: Bobbie wins; Trip to Portugal ($5336)

3 Strikes: Alisa lost; Lincoln LS ($40,732)

It’s In The Bag: Kamisha lost $1,000

Showcase Showdown #1: Kamisha wins with 90 cents

Barker’s Bargain Bar: Jeremy wins; Chest and Day Bed (Bigger Bargain)

Switcheroo: Sharon wins Grill ($23); Ford Focus ($18,540)

Double Prices: Chris wins ; Electric Vehicle ($9390)

Showcase Showdown #2: Jeremy wins with 90 cents

Showcase: Jeremy wins;. Dining Room Group, Espresso Machine, and Spa ($21,457 in prizes)

Bob was right, our first on stage contestant carrying the female version of “Bob” (Bobbie happened to be my guess of who escapes Contestant’s Row first) indeed knew how to play Pushover and will take a trip to Portugal. All Alisa had to do was bid $1 more than Chris in order to view a Lincoln LS up close. I must assure viewers who haven’t seen the show in months or years that the 3 Strikes bag no longer has that number of strikes, as it seemed when Alisa’s first two pulls struck her down. It was the misplaced Icy Hot Patch, or “Ice Hot Patch” as Bob called it that caused today’s second big disappointment, this time involving a young lady from Catskill, New York. After Alisa gave her young supporters mention, Bobbie joined the disappointment club when the Big Wheel was one peg away from $1.00. Bob promised us winners during the second half of today’s excursion. Anthropology and Biology are among what double major/”Student of Price” Jeremy is studying. After acknowledging the fact Chris has been in Contestant’s Row since the very beginning (and that he’s at Studio 33 not to make friends, but to witness Price up close and personal), Bob gave us some insight into Randall and his shirt. Randall may be happily married, but according to his shirt he has a liking for anyone in Price’s modeling position. The wife’s shirt was similar, only it stated she has a liking for Bob. No need to worry about their marriage, just a little humor planned in advance before attending today’s show. Oh, Chris escaped Contestant’s Row at the very last moment! Unfortunately, Chris fell victim to being one peg short to beating Jeremy’s score of 90 cents by a nickel. Kamisha’s Showcase #1 featured a confused astronomy teacher, Milky Way (King Sized) bars, and a Mercury Marquee.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6129)

3 Strikes: Rochelle wins (2 Strikes); Cadillac Deville ($47,190)

Grand Game: Caleb wins $10.00 (Target Price: $6.00)

Bonkers: Brooke wins (1 ¾ seconds left); Trip to The Netherlands ($7206)

Showcase Showdown #1: Brooke wins with 45 cents

Secret X: Joseph wins (X at the Bottom); Chevy Aveo

Cover Up: Kevin lost; Pontiac Sunfire ($17,410)

Double Prices: Lisa wins; Spa ($8600)

Showcase Showdown #2: Joseph wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Brooke wins; “Double Showcase Winner” of the “Hearing Impaired Santa” Showcase, Range, Bed, Ford Explorer and “Santa and the Unsympathetic Therapist” Showcase, Laptop Computer, Trip to the Bahamas, Ski Boat ($72,750 in prizes)

“Ho, Ho, Ho” were the on screen words to start off today’s Christmas Eve edition, along with a zoom shot of a couple of fellows with the names “Marc” & “John” (no relation, by the way), and our first four lineup. After Bob made his entrance through the audience for the second time this week, he pointed our attention toward the Christmas tree at the back of the studio now up for bids. Not only would Rochelle win herself a tree for Christmas time, but also an excellent, yet enormous gift to place under the tree (it’s a possibility). It was the $6.99 Jelly Belly candy that would mark Caleb’s departure from the stage with only $10.00 in prize money. Nevada’s Marylouise escapes her audience crew minus her Santa Clause hat, so in place of it Bob placed a similar one on the top of her head. Brooke finished Bonkers during the very last second; or else she’d go bonkers herself in an unhappy manner. Vicki wearing a yellow shirt with a picture of Bob’s face during his preparatory school days would lead to the introduction of Bob’s former fellow student Billy. Sorry folks, Vicki never quite learned her tour guide’s last name, but expect Bob to speak with Billy eventually. Our latest decoration up for bids was a reef, which was nowhere on the Turntable or the three doors at the time of this bidding process. Atlanta’s very own Kevin escapes Contestant’s Row full of joy from here to his farewell along with Lisa (both tied 90 cents) during Showcase Showdown #2. With the winter season upon our quarter of the world, Lisa of Bakersfield, California (soon to be “Barkersfield”, if all goes well) is guaranteed to stay warmer over the next few months thanks to this Spa. Today’s Showcases featured a deaf Mr. Clause thanks to heavy metal music, a therapist in need of therapy herself, and a 2005 Ford Explorer. We end our last new show for 2004 with a bang; a type of bang worth over $72,000+ in prizes won today.

(Well folks, we have survived another year with our weekday hour of game show excellence. Viewers who missed some of Year 33’s previous shows will have their second chance from Monday until January, when “The Ultimate Survivor” as CBS dubbed Bob a few years ago, our excellent crew on and off camera, and of course the contestants return with all new shows starting in January. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and may the future of Price remain bright as a new General Electric light bulb. Almost forgot, the chance at least some form of winter precipitation remains in Mobile, Alabama.)

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6128)

Clock Game: Layden wins Dining Room Table ($833); Portable Hot Tub ($899)

Half Off: Terri wins $10,000 (3 Halves; Box #6)

One Away: Tearether lost; Buick Century ($23,290)

Showcase Showdown #1: Terri wins with $1.00 ($1000)

Squeeze Play: Celina lost (Picked “9”); Piano ($8918)

Dice Game: David lost; Ford Ranger ($15,645)

Grocery Game: Darrious lost (Total $21.87); Bedroom Group

Showcase Showdown #2: Darrious wins with 85 cents

Showcase: Darrious wins; “Game Room” Showcase, Pinball Machine, Pool Table, Arcade Cabinet, and Trip to Morocco

Our journey into Price’s excellence begins with Darrious leaping from his front row, along with giving his fellow members of the row high fives, and finally his spot in Contestant’s Row. Florida’s rare variety of Layden was quite a rare character indeed, from bringing up the question of “Do I get to keep it?” for the first time ever in this game, even though he claims to know Clock Game. “You’re hurting me,” says Layden as Bob jokingly attempted to walk him off the Turntable after questioning the prize he shall keep no matter what. Despite being “so close”, says our Clock Game player, but his character and spirit remains intact at the very end. Like our previous contestant, Terri showed emotion of the rawest kind. I suppose a portion of the $10,000 in cash went toward Christmas gifts. After Tearether demonstrated her “run in place”, she made quick changes in the One Away price set for her. Even after 2 rounds of negative reaction from the audience and two changes (from the first “2” to “0”, which were correct), Tearether would still find out she lost. Showcase Showdown #1 featured not one, but two $1,000 winners including Layden and Terri. Representing a college sorority, Celina nearly rammed Bob into the Turntable before both the Piano and Squeeze Play were revealed. “Yes, Bob I love you!” were Darrious’ first words on stage after escaping Contestant’s Row at the very last minute. No $1,000 winner during this Showdown, but Darrious came back big with his final spin of the Big Wheel, bringing about a winning reaction consisting of leaps and a gorilla like chest beating. Showcase #2 featured the “Automatic Santa Machine”, or ASM. Both Showcase bids didn’t go very smoothly, especially with Darrious who managed to get Bob to understand his bid in less than a minute. We end today’s show with Darrious earning himself both a handshake and a pat on the back from our announcer Rich.

(Tomorrow, Christmas Eve at last! Will tomorrow’s new edition of Price until January top today’s show, will a Christmas tree be up for bids, and will Mobile, Alabama receive its first white Christmas ever? Stay tuned to both the TV set and here to find out.)

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6126)

Plinko: Merritt wins $12,500 with 5 Plinko chips

Race Game: Robert wins Punchbowl Set; Dining Room Table, Piano, Curio Cabinet

That’s Too Much: Shirley lost; Chevy Equinox ($23,745)

Showcase Showdown #1: Merritt wins with 40 cents

Check Game: Frederick lost (Check for $2600); Bed ($3606)

Pass the Buck: Amy wins $5000 (Behind Card #6); Card #1 contained Pontiac Vibe

Most Expensive: Darrick wins; Trip to New Orleans, New York (Most Expensive $4025), and Nashville

Showcase Showdown #2: Amy wins with 80 cents

Showcase: Merritt wins; “Tied” Showcase, Collection of Candy, Washer & Dryer, Sailboat, and Chevy Roadster ($63,471 in prizes)

My fellow Central Time Zone viewers (and Eastern Time viewers too), we have survived another cycle to see Bob make his entrance through the audience on the second day of a week full of Christmas decorations and themes. No wonder Merritt ran off for the top of the Plinko board before even earning the free Plinko chip, Bob keeping her almost perfectly still before and during Rich’s big news was building pressure that only those who experienced Plinko can understand. Newlywed and Los Angeles police officer Robert saved the show budget wise after winning only the least expensive prize in the Race Game lineup, which was $300. Shirley escapes both row in the audience and Contestant’s Row for a prize she’d surely enjoy as a Christmas gift (plus a kiss on Bob’s cheek, gaining plenty of audience “awwws”), but unfortunately she would leave the stage minus that. Robert’s powerful spins during Showcase Showdown #1 only lead to a score of 35 cents, only shy of the 90 needed in addition to his first score of 10. Frederick is the latest in a long line of Check Game players who once didn’t know about the game. To both Frederick and Bob’s surprise the combination of the check and Bed’s price means no new sleeping furniture in Indiana by only about $200 over. Amy escapes Contestant’s Row with luck on her side and it came handy when choosing Card #6 with only one chance. “She took my bid, dog!” was Michigan’s very own Darrick’s response before placing his winning bid. Darrick’s logical choice of choosing a city “clear across the country” won himself a trip across the land. Today’s first Showcase featured a Turntable full of candy, some Tied courtesy of Proctor & Gamble, and a Chevy Roadster resembling a car more than a truck. We end today’s show around the now confirmed truck.

Friday, December 17

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6124)

Lucky 7: Alice lost; Dodge Caravan ($19,83 )

Punch A Bunch: Michael wins $100 with 3 Punches

One Wrong Price: Jonathan wins; Home Gym, Daybed (Wrong Price: $1800), and a Pair of Patio Heaters

Showcase Showdown #1: Michael wins with 90 cents

Flip Flop: James lost by “flopping”; Sailboat ($5785)

Card Game: Richard lost ($1500 difference); Ford Focus ($18,165)

Now or Then: Amanda lost (“Then” September 1996); Trip to Canada

Showcase Showdown #2: James wins with $1.00 + 5 cents ($6000)

Showcase: James wins; Portable DVD Player, Trip to Monte Carlo, and Pontiac GTO 2 ($50,726 in prizes)

All Alice had to ask was “What was his (Jonathan) bid?” before placing her winning bid of $2000 on a Refrigerator, earning the opportunity of playing Lucky 7. As Alice and Bob spoke about her California residence and crew, both this conversation and Alice’s state of shock kept her eyes away from the Caravan even as the entire audience was in uproar. Hopefully Alice’s status didn’t effect her use of the 7-dollar bills in Lucky 7. After Bob gained Michael’s attention, he made the bid that would lead to Christmas trees, a trio of small prizes along with 3 punches, and a $100 slip at the end. Jonathan wearing a shirt featuring the words celebrating crewmember Lance’s 18th year of life joins Bob on the walk to One Wrong Price, plus our contestant had the nerve to utter “Bobby”, which Bob hasn’t been known as since his days as a lad. James representing the “fine specimens of manhood” tried his luck at Flip Flop rather quick, but he managed to refrain from pushing the red to allow Bob to build up the moment. I swore that before Richard found the $1500 card at the beginning of Card Game, a member of our audience said, “That’s not the Card Game”, which somewhat shocks me even though the outer appearance of the game was changed slightly, yet the design and shape remain the same. Despite an entire section of the audience causing Richard’s lost, he still enjoyed this moment on Price and managed to say hello to his Montana softball team. “Be quiet y’all”, says Brenda of Contestant’s Row trying to speak with Bob, who he and Rich agree with. Amanda was the one to finally escape this time for the opportunity of winning a Canadian holiday, a lifelong dream by the way. She still has a chance of visiting Canada, via either the Big Wheel or a Showcase featuring cash. After saying hello to all the nice folks who signed her shirt before attending today’s show, Amanda’s spin would end up at 90 cents, all after James earned himself $1.00. Not even the audience’s chanting of “10!” could save Amanda’s chance at a Canadian holiday or even becoming $1,000 richer at least among what she could have won from here to the Showcase. After revealing the price of James’ Showcase, Bob had to remind our winner that he’s won, earning him a barrel of laughs from Rich. We end today’s show with James in the middle of his large crew in white shirts.

(Next week, Price’s set will be decorated for Christmas, marking the end of the amazing year of 2004 for the show. Good day!)

Thursday, December 16

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6123)

Golden Road: Rebecca lost; Dining Room Table ($581) Washer & Dryer ($1568), and Dodge Viper

Grand Game: Velma lost $1000 (Target Price $5.50)

Bonkers: Teresa wins (in 5 ½ seconds); Bed ($4780)

Showcase Showdown #1: Velma wins with 95 cents

Switch?: Patricia wins with a “Switch”; Luggage and Bar Set

5 Price Tags: David lost (1 Chance); Dodge Dakota ($19,130)

Squeeze Play: Michael lost (removed first “7”); Cabinet and Computer ($5177)

Showcase Showdown #2: Patricia wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Velma wins; “Secrets of the American Revolution” Showcase, Diamond Ring, Floor Clock, and Travel Trailer ($23,216 in prizes)

Bob made his latest entrance down the aisle, giving lucky members of the audience memorable high fives; could this be a sign of surprises to come? Indeed a surprise was coming and Rebecca wearing a shirt bearing the famous Plinko sign (with chip) soon to return someday (by popular support, hopefully) was completely unaware until Bob finally got to say “over $86,000!” when speaking about our next prize at the end of the road of gold. Despite missing the opportunity of viewing a Viper up close at least, Rebecca enjoyed the trip down the Golden Road. It was clear as most crystal balls that Velma is from Florida according to her “I survived Charley, Ivan, Francis” shirt, which is also on the backs and stomachs of her crew in the audience. Don’t worry about Velma after falling to the floor at the end of her Grand Game playing, if she can survive those storms she’ll eventually survive today’s show. After the first break, Bob whispered to Rich an important correction of the pronunciation of Contestant’s Row Dionna, which can be heard almost clearly by a majority of the audience and viewers. Former sprinter (yet a short argument between Teresa and Bob on who she actually was would occur shortly) Teresa escapes Contestant’s Row, figures the right combinations of “higher” and “lower” in Bonkers, and finishes the job in only 5 ½ seconds without a single mistake. Our survivor Velma made it through the humiliation of audience boos after a weak spin and took a spot in today’s Showcase, but as for Rebecca who knows (I assure y’all she survived her moment of booing, too). Patricia of Chicago made the clear decision in today’s playing of “Switch?” since Bar Sets around $1000 can be considered a rarity on the show. Both Michael and Dionna remain in Contestant’s Row, but only one of these smiling players with escape today. Hockey player David representing his team attending the show relied on both only 1 chance and the possibility that someone forgot to place the “Win” tag behind one of the 5 price tags. Audience and Bob’s favorite Michael finally escapes with the highest bid in Contestant’s Row for a playing of Squeeze Play. The twin digits of “7” may have appeared awkward, but not today in Squeeze Play. No weak spins were seen during Showcase Showdown #2, folks. Our first Showcase featured “red coats” sleeping, a Diamond Rings reflecting light, and a padlock on the door of a Trailer. We end today’s excursion into Price’s best with our announcer Rich giving Velma and her crew well earned handshakes.

Esther representing today’s first four lineup was Bob’s latest victim when kidding around after she asked if the trip to the Grand Canyon price includes hotel costs (Bob responded with “no, you sleep in the parking lot”, gaining plenty of applause from the audience and a smile on Esther). Oki (Oklahoma resident) Yvonne is in no doubt a heroine now in her small hometown of about 5500, minus her and her crew in the audience on today’s show. Lieutenant Samuel of the U.S. Navy is reminded that even on Price, you can never give away too many automobiles, or in this case a Jeep. After Bob took Samuel back to the days of the naval academy, Samuel came back with an excellent shout of “That’s Too Much!” When the time came to stop, for reasons unknown Samuel responded by saying he wanted to stay. Since our audience and Bob are so kind, Samuel was allowed to have another chance at giving us the same version of a “That’s Too Much!” as done previously. Jill may have rid 2 halves of the 16 boxes featured on Half Off’s rows known here as “Box Central”, but good old #5 was not a lucky number today, which would have been confirmed if all 3 halves were earned. After a Showcase Showdown in which our lieutenant was forced to spin the Big Wheel again on a score of 80 cents, with leader Yvonne the Oki at 90 cents, our entire audience was silent to the point of almost no breathing. Fortunately, no faces were blue even before Rich summoned our next contestant to come on down. Delia answered Bob’s question of where’s she from, which was Florida but due to 4 hurricanes she left the state for Pennsylvania, which made Bob reconsider ever asking such a question. After earning herself 4 cars and $500 during her first win, the chances of Delia running to spots unknown celebrating with a unique shout were very high as the hurricane winds that knocked out power from South Mississippi to Mobile, and from Pensacola to South Florida (not at the same time to be precise).

Esther’s Grand Finale

In the possibility not fulfilling the same vision like a past contestant 29 years ago, who was a sister, Esther showed how glad to was to ever visit Stage 33, which earned herself Bob’s wonderful contestant seal of approval. Before giving her the approval of “Contestant of the Day”, I awaited Esther to give her bid during this final process of Items Up For Bids for the day. Surprising many, Esther escapes Contestant’s Row at the very end to trust her instincts in Double Prices, along with her knowledge of rear-projection TV sets in the 40-50 inch range, as repeated by Rich at request. After picking the rightful price, Esther’s celebrated by what appeared to be ramming her head into Bob’s stomach, nearly damaging him and the microphone. After the incident, Bob escaped Esther’s celebration and hid behind Double Prices briefly. Esther may have never reached the Showcase, but she’ll be remembered as a fighter, both mentally and somewhat physically, yet inadvertently. Good luck, Esther!

Showcase #2 for Yvonne featured credit cards (theme), a Day Bed, and a Cadillac Deville. Unfortunately for Yvonne, that Cadillac was worth enough to throw her Showcase into the $50,000-$60,000 range rather than anywhere around $40,000. We end today’s show with Delia’s now famous shouts as her crew joined in on the celebration between her Speaker System and Kitchen Group. By the way, Delia had her back turned away from the camera (viewing prizes I suppose) during the very last second as she adjusted her pants, for those who really wanted to know how today’s show exactly ended along with the celebration.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6121)

Most Expensive: Robert wins; Exercise Bike, Cookware, and Pool Table (Most Expensive: $3000)

Plinko: Andy wins $700 with 4 Plinko chips

Ten Chances: Kindee wins Juicer ($70) and Wall Clock ($570); Pontiac Vibe ($17,930)

Showcase Showdown #1: Andy wins with 90 cents

Coming or Going: Eleanor lost by “Going”; Trip to Chicago ($2744)

Line ‘Em Up: Stephanie wins; Pontiac Sunfire ($17,490)

Hit Me: Jacqueline wins (Hits 21); Dining Room Group

Showcase Showdown #2: Stephanie wins with 75 cents

Showcase: Andy wins; Bedroom Group, Sleeping Bags, and All Terrain Vehicle ($24,340 in prizes)

“Nice to meet you, I’m in Heaven!” was Robert of Connecticut’s reaction when he finally met Bob after many years of continuous loyalty. Before everyone “looked up” during the next bidding process, we met Kindee celebrating her latest day of birth (for the 30th time) with an entire crew in yellow. The same Andy who outbid a fellow contestant without getting knocked out escapes Contestant’s Row just in time for Plinko. We’re back to the under $1000 area of prize money won in Plinko, folks. Our birthday girl Kindee was among the many Ten Chances players to use the crossed “7” during her time up there. With the drama building on that final and only chance to figure out the exact price of the Vibe, Kindee had it right first before a friend changed her mind about the middle “9”, costing her a surprise birthday gift in return. “Attention, stay put!” says Bob to Christopher of Contestant’s Row wearing a shirt which could even have “Art Linkletter” on the back since “North Carolina Loves…” is on the front, but in fact his back finishes it off by saying “…Bob Barker and The Price is Right”. At the sound of “no” from a member of an audience attempting to change Eleanor’s decision of “Going”, it was clear that this Miami, Florida resident wouldn’t be traveling to Chicago anytime soon. After becoming the proud owner of a Sunfire and Bob going to a commercial break, Stephanie had the time to say a nice “thank you”. Jacqueline conquered the non-Las Vegas version of blackjack in style, in a way that resembles the working of a musical instrument. Our second Showcase offering our top winner a second car had a “Tails” theme, such as a comet’s tail (Telescope) and tail pipe (Chrysler Crossfire).

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6120)

Make Your Move: Sachin wins; Hair Dryer ($30), Chair ($869), and Trip to Jamaica ($7110)

Hole in One (or Two): Debra lost (Line 3); Chevy Equinox

Side By Side: Barbara wins; Barrel Sauna ($5245)

Showcase Showdown #1: Debra wins with 85 cents

Barker’s Bargain Bar: Garrison lost; Clock and Dining Room Table (Bigger Bargain $2000)

Cliffhangers: Karen lost; Living Room Group

One Away: Christine lost; Ford Focus ($18,315)

Showcase Showdown #2: Christine wins with 65 cents

Showcase: Christine wins; “Every Room in the House” Showcase, Arcade Game, Treadmill, Piano ($19,928 in prizes)

We return to Bob’s 80th year of life (October taping) starting with a future dentist whom plenty of audience members believed made the wrong moves in Make Your Move. Everyone was quick during the second bidding process, but it would be new homeowner Debra of Indiana who would show what’s she learned from her recent putt-putt golf outings. Even though we’re in the midst of the same audience who once believed Jamaica would never cost around $7000, but they all know too well that Debra has no chance of winning a $500 bonus with a box of Glad Trash Bags in front of an Alka-Seltzer product. Once again, Bob gave up his chance to putt as he continues to remain in an “inspiration putt slump”. After Barbara’s performance today, there’s not doubt that Bob will return as the golfer’s inspiration to Hole in One next time. Can’t let this go into obscurity, Barbara asked whether the prices of the Hole in One items featured are based in California or Indiana. They are the manufactures’ suggested retail prices, of course. No need to worry about Oliver the Cat featured today, according to Bob playing the role of a seller at an auction. Garrison of the U.S. Navy for 4 years was wished better luck for the second Showcase Showdown after picking a prize with a much lower bargain price. After the camera stayed on one lady in red for a few seconds, Alice finally revealed herself to the audience and Bob as she walks down the aisle. Karen’s first 15 or so steps in Cliffhangers were only the beginning of the end in the effort of saving that mountain climber. Christine (yep, her full nametag was seen on camera, nor was it changed to “Kristine” or even “X-Stine”, as Price remains immune to a society where the name “Christmas” can be offensive) was close to becoming a Ford Focus owner until she decided to change the last digit of “5” during One Away, even though negative vocal reaction was very high. Christine rebounds over Garrison’s score of 60 cents during Showcase Showdown #2. The reveal of the Showcase Christine was destined to win hesitated for less than 10 seconds, leaving everyone in the dark until those big doors finally opened with light. We end today’s show in front of prizes “For Every Room in the House”.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6119)

Step Up: Toni lost; Luggage, Couch, Golf Equipment, and Cookware

Switcheroo: Adriana wins Cleaning Wand ($10) and Water Pik ($37);Ford Escape ($20,320)

Check Game: Kelli lost (Check for $2000) Trip to Arizona ($2270)

Showcase Showdown #1: Kelli wins with 90 cents

Coming or Going: Chris wins by “Going”; Floor Clock ($3785)

Hi Lo: Nancy wins; Dining Room Group

Money Game: Carol wins $170; Ford Focus ($14,847)

Showcase Showdown #2: Carol wins with 80 cents

Showcase: Kelli wins; Pajamas, Bedroom Group, and Trip to New Zealand ($18,659 in prizes)

Our entire lineup of first four contestants was female today, yep even the one most viewers would assume to be a “Tony” after Rich’s summoning, and who was actually a lady under the name “Toni”. This same lady, who’s name I pronounce TON-eee would be the first to escape Contestant’s Row for a game she only “kind of knows how to play”. At the moment someone shouted “golf!” Toni’s chances of winning even $500 were a goner. No $1 or $2 bids on a Storage Shed during the next bidding process, which made everyone, including the lone fellow Chris of Contestant’s Row believe he or she is a winner of a $500. Adriana turned out to be one with the perfect bid, which is only the beginning of what was soon to come. If only she had left the second “2” in the Ford Escape during her first try in Switcheroo, she would have shocked plenty of relatives back home, but coming on down and escaping Contestant’s Row should be enough to make Adriana’s grandma (mentioned before commercial break) proud. A tall Kelli and fanatic of the game she was destined to play was the latest Check Game player to demonstrate her own check writing skills before a world audience, unaware that $2000 was enough for a voided check. Price loyalist since 3 years of age Chris escapes Contestant’s Row with a “The Price is Right 2004” shirt on as he shows the world whether he’s coming or going. Nancy bearing a noticeable green shirt successfully completed Hi Lo without the thought of picking an item not worthy of a place in the “Hi” row. Carol wearing a well designed Price shirt attempted to choose either end of the Focus’ price rather than just going for “14” first. Carol’s Showcase had a boot camp theme, which forced one fellow of the audience to shout, “woo!” before Rich even described it. Either bid displayed at Carol’s podium, including the one made by mistake on the operator’s behalf, would have been over anyway. We end this week’s worth of shows not in boot camp, but in a bedroom.

On December 12th, 2004, it would be 81 years since a new human was born, a fellow with 1/4 Sioux Indian in him, a fellow who’s managed to move forward in life after his pappy’s death in his young life, a fellow who’s second “Love of His Life” was found at first meeting during the high school years, a fellow who has had basketball experience, a fellow who survived basic pilot training in the U.S. Navy (but never went into battle as the second world war came to a close) and earned his wings, a fellow who had traveled to California to pursue a career in broadcasting (earning a program of his own, including a game show format similar to Price), a fellow’s voice discovered by one Ralph Edwards as his successor on one national game show called “Truth or Consequences”, a fellow who’s successful foray into television earned himself attention by one Mark Goodson for a game show revival, a fellow who managed to handle 2 games shows during the 1970s, a fellow who’s been busy with pageants & CBS Pasadena parade coverage, a fellow who survived both deaths of the 2 holding the title “Love of His Life”, a fellow who survived his own pursuit for animal rights, a fellow who survived “The Enemy Within” his success (and continues to do so), a fellow who’s survived the departure of those responsible for him continuing his success, including 2 permanent departures from our world, a fellow who even has the strength to carry on a now 30+ year tradition on network television, and last but certainly not least in any way a fellow that even Richard Dawson would want to live up to, kiss wise.

This fellow is Robert Barker, otherwise known as Bob, and he’ll be 81 Sunday (guaranteed, including any blowout of 81 birthday candles)

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6118)

Credit Card: Danny lost (Credit Limit $1700); Cradle, Stemware, Trash Compactor, and Etagere

Pathfinder: Megan lost; Buick Century ($23,710)

Switch?: Filomena lost by “staying”; Trip to Las Vegas and Napa Valley

Showcase Showdown #1: Danny wins with 95 cents

Range Game: Todd lost; Computer Desk and Computer ($4293)

Pick A Pair: Robert wins (Seasoning and Bleach Pen cost $2.99) Living Room Group and Vacuum

Cover Up: Matthew wins; Ford Ranger ($15,645)

Showcase Showdown #2: Robert wins with 75 cents

Showcase: Robert wins; “Antennas” Showcase, Trip to Toronto, 55-inch TV Set, and Ford Explorer ($40,652 in prizes)

Danny outside a blue shirt trio from Phoenix, Arizona would become today’s first contestant on stage thanks to a $2000+ bid on a Bowflex Exercise machine worth $2500, but a certain Cradle only $620 less would cost him every last credit on his credit card. Honeymooner Megan was the one to escape the audience and Contestant’s Row at the same time, the latter made possible by her husband Scott. Unfortunately this 3 day marriage must move forward with not a new car included, but plenty of Price memories to share if this marriage leads up to a family of their own. Audience reaction contributed to Filomena’s decision of staying rather than making an important “switch” in prices. Even after making the wrong purchase previously, Danny managed to gain himself 95 cents on the Big Wheel. Representing a group from the California Maritime Academy, Todd made his escape for a game he was once unsure of as a home viewer of Price. Bob managed to rally most of the audience to remind Todd about the 37 hours until the range can start again, which he admits that he’s able to wait for. The atmosphere of anxiety ended once Robert (who “Loves Sick Days”, according to the shirt) ended today’s losing streak as a Pick A Pair winner. Advice from Matthew’s older partner in Price experience managed to give him 4 out of 5 digits in the Ranger’s price before topping it off by putting the second “5” in its place. Danny’s Showcase previously under Robert’s control featured law firm doors and a Trailer. We end today’s show with Robert and his entire crew of orange celebrating on the Turntable and around the Explorer without causing any bodily harm.

(The 5:00 PM edition of WKRG News Center 5, known nowadays as simply News 5, featured a CBS News report on one Louisiana family, their Price viewing tradition, and the departure of their young Price viewer. Only a few days from his 18th birthday and the arrival of the gift any home viewer would want, seizure would strike this young fellow's life in the middle of the night. It would only be 1 day later that the tickets for attending a Price taping would arrive in the mail. To keep the dream of both their son and the entire clan of Price loyalists' alive, they made the big trip to California for today's Price taping. The show featuring them should air on February 2nd, 2005 as scheduled.)

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6117)

Clock Game: Andrew wins (10 seconds left) Dining Room Table ($717) and Curio Cabinet ($999) (+$1000)

Half Off: Gina lost (1 Half and Picked Box #7); Box #4 contained $10,000

Dice Game: Lani wins; Ford Taurus ($21,425)

Showcase Showdown #1: Gina wins with 80 cents

Buy or Sell: Geoffrey wins (+800 profit); Hostess Set, Popcorn Cart, Table

Pass the Buck: Maria wins $3000 (Behind Card #5); Chevy Aveo (Behind Card #6)

Pick A Number: Margaret wins (Picked last “9”); TV Set ($3099)

Showcase Showdown #2: Maria wins with 60 cents

Showcase: Gina wins; “The Price is Right Train Depot” Showcase, Undercounter Refrigerator, Iron Bed, and Spa ($22,806 in prizes)

“How do people’s minds work?” that was the question Bob wanted answered after Syracuse graduate and future television “wheel” (writer or a position close) Andrew skipped the Dining Room Table’s actual price of $717 by one and jumped back. Before allowing Maria of Contestant’s Row, we would learn that the disintegration of Price’s modeling position is not always suffering and limping from the rotten fruits of the past, as the Pribonic couple and one Price staff member were part of what may be the turning point in their lives. After hearing music usually heard whenever a wedding dress is a prize, I concluded by saying to myself “this moment does not change the state of the modeling position, as the so-called model schedule for early 2005 suggests”, but I won’t, and I repeat won’t let the evil and corruption that lambasted the show constantly during the 1990s ruin my daily, or anybody else’s hour of fun and fantastic prizes. Now with marriage proposals and my stance out of the way, we must return to the essence of Price with Gina risking her playing of Half-Off on Box #7 with only 1 half of “Box Central’s” rows of boxes removed. Despite her loss of seeing “a beautiful sight” (Bob was referring to the cash, by the way) up close, Gina and everyone else under Stage 33’s roof should remain in a good mood. Lani’s Dice Game rolls may consist of many “6” sides on top, yet she actually hesitated to say “lower”, probably the excitement of seeing a future married couple in the midst of music heard twice during Price’s 33rd year on the air. Before going to the break before Showcase Showdown #1, “Showcase Showdown now, I mean next!” were Bob’s words leading us to it. Geoffrey appeared to be ready to conquer Buy or Sell with the right choices according to his vocal tone. Maria began her Pass the Buck prize journey on a “Lose Everything”, but rebounds with a better than nothing $3000. All it took was another “9” for Margaret to win herself a rather large TV set. Maria’s Showcase featured a variety of ways for spotting a resident of the USA vacationing in a foreign country. Before placing her winning bid, Gina said “hello” to everyone back at home. We end today’s show with Gina, her crew, an antique diamond ring gaining a close up, and parts of the Train Depot background gaining more attention.

(Your “Comments” on today’s surprising event in Price history, its effect on the future of Price’s modeling position, and/or today’s show in general is appreciated. Good day!)

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6116)

Danger Price: Juanita lost; Elliptical Cross Trainer, Day Bed, Desk (Danger Price $2397), and Luggage

Any Number: Jerisue wins; Ford Mustang Coup ($19,478) and Dinnerware ($601)

Flip Flop: David wins by “flopping”; Sauna ($4695)

Showcase Showdown #1: Jerisue wins with 40 cents

Check Out: Susan lost ($10.66 difference); Trip to the Bahamas and Pens

Spelling Bee: Shannan spells “CAR” (4 Cards); Chevy Cavalier

Double Prices: Rachel lost; Electric Vehicle ($7695)

Showcase Showdown #2: Shannan wins with 80 cents

Showcase: Double Overbid; Hockey Masks, Trip to New Orleans, Ski Boats, Living Room Group, 30-inch Wide Screen TV, and Player Piano

Juanita the last of today’s first four contestants may have began the show on a high note, or should I say 5 $100 notes after a perfect bid on the Pool Table, but a quite dangerous price of $2397 hidden behind a desk would catch up with her in just a moment. Representing the Navy and inheritor of a male/female combination of a name, Jerisue escapes Juanita’s former spot in Contestant’s Row with two differences. One, she left her spot without $500 in mind and two she proved herself worthy of Bob’s title “fastest legs in the Navy”. Keep watch for a certain lady peddling a Ford Mustang Coup with a 40th anniversary logo on the side living, because she may need a reminder to only keep those fast legs at such a speed on the ground or floor. David celebrates his day of birth by both visiting today’s edition of Price and winning himself a prize courtesy of the show. I may seem partially deaf occasionally, but there’s certainty that I heard a particular sort of whistle (not for applause) from the audience as Rich described the Sauna. While that sort of whistling is not necessarily offensive, but to certain viewers it’s a moment for the bad fruits of Price to gloat over. Jerisue performed with her legs yet again during Showcase Showdown #2 and expect more in today’s Showcase. “Susan is a friendly soul, she has to say goodbye to everyone…” is how Bob introduced her to an audience who would give her more tremendous applause, even after losing at the Check Out counter. Shannan would latter admit that she traveled a long road to today’s show, so she was “going for it”, as in the Cavalier with only 4 cards and $2500 in total. Unfortunately, Rachel’s fellow members of the University of California Los Angeles campus won’t being seeing her drive around in an Electric Vehicle. Today’s Showcase featured masks, a Ski Boat, and Mobile, Alabama’s distant cousin New Orleans. We end today’ show with handshakes and waving, which is common after the less than common Double Overbids.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6115)

Triple Play: Cliff lost; Ford Focus ($15,050), Chevy Malibu ($19,396)

Freeze Frame: Tabitha wins; Gazebo ($6350)

Grocery Game: Rosalyn lost ($21.26); Bedroom Group

Showcase Showdown #1: Tabitha wins with $2.00 ($11,000)

Poker Game: Oscar wins (Full House); MLB Trading Cards, Bistro Table, Cabinet, and Table

Master Key: Renee lost (0 Keys); Dining Room Table, Massager, and Dodge Neon

Squeeze Play: Kathy lost (removed “9”); Trip to Alaska ($2982)

Showcase Showdown #2: Renee wins with 90 cents

Showcase: Renee wins; Dining Room Group, Year Supply of Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, and Snowmobile ($20,766 in prizes)

Cliff’s biggest decision of his young life was the one that led the way for his own viewing of a trio of automobiles, which he may win according to his youthful enthusiasm. Every one of his reactions would have to come to a complete stop, or at least until Showcase Showdown #1, after finding out he picked the wrong price closest to the Malibu’s actual price. Tabitha’s previously said bid with a bit of politeness may have not given her the chance of playing Triple Play, but she was still an expert at becoming “the latest Gazebo owner” as Bob dubbed her after conquering Freeze Frame. Rosalyn left both her crew and Contestant’s Row during the same segment to exercise her grocery shopping skills. It appears the cash register is in need of a tune up, explaining the extra $1.00 to the actual total of $21.26, which did not effect Rosalyn’s losing outcome thanks to some Tums (commercial aired during today's edition). After taking a few Tums as a gift from Bob, Rosalyn was ready to take a spin of the Big Wheel, but it would be Tabitha that leaves the stage $11,000 richer, all made possible after the audience boos forced her to put some muscle into pulling that wheel. Thanks to the fall of broadcast TV innocence as a February 2004, Bob managed to tie in another “malfunction” with the Grocery Game cash register incident. Oscar didn’t spend much time in Contestant’s Row, which would have prevented him from trying his luck and knowledge of prizes priced with a “9” digit during the latest playing of Hit Me’s distant brother, Poker Game. Renee’s luck would change once Showcase Showdown #2 comes around. Betty bearing an "If's Gambling's Not Allowed in Heaven, I'm Not Going" shirt gave us a little more insight into herself before Kathy finally escaped Contestant's Row. Kathy happens to be interested in an Alaskan trip because she likes to fish, but unfortunately she must find an alternative in order to make such as journey. Oscar’s spin was ever so close to $1.00, that it most likely gave Renee some relief worth sighing out. Tabitha’s Showcase was of the “Grand” variety, such as $1000 in cash, a couple of rocking chairs (something a grandpappy or grandma would enjoy), and a Pontiac Grand Prix. We end today’s show with Renee in the midst of her crew as Rich managed to come over to congratulate her.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6114)

5 Price Tags: James lost with 1 Tag; Ford Mustang ($18,345)

Race Game: Louis wins Elliptical Trainer; Serving Pieces, Cradle, and China Cabinet

Magic #: Jennifer lost (Magic Number: $1517); Floor Clock and Grandfather Clock

Showcase Showdown #1: James wins with 90 cents

Grand Game: Demetrice wins $100 (Target Price: $5.25)

Card Game: Christi lost ($500 difference); Ford Escape ($19,595)

Double Prices: Carrie wins; Trip to Niagara Falls ($3325)

Showcase Showdown #2: Christi wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Christi wins; “Double Showcase Winner”, Dinnerware, Trip to Ireland, Chrysler Crossfire, Living Room Group, Vacuum System, and 42-inch Flat Screen TV Set ($59,753 in prizes)

First four contestant Jennifer was given plenty of time and chuckles from Rich as she was getting her shoes on before reaching the yellow spot of Contestant’s Row. James joined us on what Bob would later call a “True Day” after guessing the first 3 items featured in 5 Price Tags were priced 100% truthfully. With the pressure of winning at least 1 price tag on James’ back, Bob asked Roger about last time a contestant won not a single price tag? After responding with “4 years ago”, Bob poked fun at his made up records by saying it’s been since 1987 that a 5 Price Tags contestant had 0 tags. Former defensive lineman Louis escapes Contestant’s Row to race under 45 seconds for a prize he’s always wanted, an Elliptical Trainer. James’ life improved slightly after gaining a Big Wheel score of 90 cents before shaking hands with fellow contestant Jennifer, but shortly he would have to face Louis in a spin off. Before Demetrice would leave Contestant’s Row, we would discover that her neighbor Maria’s name is spelled wrong on the nametag. After choosing a bottle of olive oil more than $5.25, Demetrice left the stage without even a goodbye for reasons we may never know. Today’s Card Game playing featured cards such as an “itty bitty duce” a “big king”, and a “black king”, yet none would save her bellow the low $500 difference card. “There she goes, here a come”, quoting Bob while returning to Carrie’s side after a near double toe injury in Showcase Showdown #2. “Woo Hoo, that is beautiful!” was James’ reaction to the Crossfire in his Showcase.

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6113)

Temptation: Veronica takes Tupperware Containers, Bowl of Cash, Couch, and Painting; Ford Focus ($18,315)

Plinko: Stephen wins $11,500 with 5 Plinko chips

One Wrong Price: Mary lost; Armoire, Bar Set, Luggage (Wrong Price $1750)

Showcase Showdown #1: Stephen wins with 95 cents

Hit Me: Cindy wins (Hits 21, House Had 14); Kitchen Group

Cover Up: Frank wins; Pontiac Vibe ($17,835)

Coming or Going: Sharmin wins by “Going”; Piano ($7095)

Showcase Showdown #2: Sharmin wins with 90 cents

Showcase: Sharmin wins; Dining Room Group, Year Supply of Cakes, and Trip to Switzerland ($26,021 in prizes)

“Yes, we are Bob!” says our first four contestant Veronica soon to be tempted by prizes featured in a game living up to its name sake. Thanks to Bob waving one of many USA dollar bills and her pre-decision process, Veronica decided to take the prizes and run. Before running, Bob demonstrated for the audience what Veronica could have done, chose “0” instead of “5” as the last digit in the Focus’ price, thus not having a single number in the $18,315 automobile correct. After beating every other bid in the $500-$504 range in Contestant’s Row, Stephen would become the latest Plinko player with $10,000 in his future. Mary who claims “Chicago Loves Bob” according to her shirt, even though she’s from Des Moines, played One Wrong Price by unfortunately becoming decisive between the Luggage and Bar Set. Choosing the Bar Set over Luggage previously changed what should have been an excellent outcome. Blackjack player Cindy escapes Contestant’s Row for a game she knows well as the former one mentioned. Representing a large “Pick Me, Bob” group, Frank conquered the latest game of Cover Up which consisted of the first decision of choosing either “1” or “2”, just to make things more interesting. After hearing the sounds of “Go, Go, Go!” Sharmin made the decision that would make her husband at home a happy fellow, whether it’s a player piano, a mini-piano, or maybe even a combination of both under the Yamaha brand. Chants continue into Showcase Showdown #2, only they go “Frank, Frank, Frank!” this time around. The Showcase Stephen passed on didn’t have a theme, something saved for last. Due to the vocals (not Rich's to be more specific) of Showcase #2 and my views toward the ill-clouded (word I created) modeling position, I can only go into one description of the full Showcase. All I’m going to say is that it was a revival of a Showcase Rod participated in years ago, hopefully something Rich would be interested in for a future show. We end today’s show with Sharmin and the entire crew gathered in front of the Dining Room Group not for dinner, but for celebration.

(Remember folks, the "Comments" feature is always open)
