Our journey after show 6000 begins with a walk of The Golden Road by Navy rep. Timothy. Julie was almost on a path of one right number at a time during today's playing of Cover Up, yet she still lost. By the end of today's show, I almost had a craving for some taffy, thanks to one certain contestant. Julie managed to win her way into today's Showcase even after losing Cover Up. There was a $100 difference with the Showcase bids ($11,500 for Taffani and $11,600 for Julie). Julie was quick on her feet to that snowmobile!

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6058)

Showcase Showdown #2: Brandi wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Brandi wins; Living Room Group, TV, and Boat ($26,070 in prizes)

Anyone happened to spot 2 fellows in suits in the audience? No need to check my VHS tape again, since they can be clearly seen a few rows from Contestant’s Row. Seema managed to encourage Bob to say “Hi” to her mother Mia, along with him jokingly saying “Mia, you didn’t bring her up right”. It was too late for Nicholas to change his choice of the Washer & Dryer having having the same price as the Drum Set. Bob even counted each drum (5) to figure out if they value up to a Washer & Dryer. Wendy was lucky her fellow contestants in Contestant’s Row all overbid, which gave her the chance to bid right on those 2 recliners. As Bob explained her current Grand Game situation, a majority of the audience chanted “ointment!” (Blue Star Ointment). Roger tried his best to calm the excitable Wendy shortly after her Grand Game victory. She has a good reason to be excited, no apartment rent worries for years to come. Yeah, and additional furniture too (as Bob suggested earlier). I must agree with the audience chanting “Seema!” before her Big Wheel spin, it’s as interesting as “Walburga”. I wonder if “Brandi” is the actual spelling of her name? Either that or she’s a fanatic of Price’s very own Brandi. If only she had seen her mother pointing up, Brandi would have won in Magic #. Emily managed to win herself some Cookware, aside from a Ford Mustang and a trip home in San Diego. James demonstrates his check writing skills in the Check Game, a game he actually knows. Brandi surprises all with a score of 95 cents in Showcase Showdown #2. Showcase #1 featured “flaps”, as in flapjacks cooked over not an amateur, but a professional range. The "32nd Year Picture" may be over for Price, but it was not over 'til the viewers got to see this delayed show. Brandi conquers all odds in today’s Showcase and celebrates with her crew, including her “up pointing” mother. Yep, Mr. Rich Fields joined in on the celebration.

Year 32 Final Thoughts

My goodness, time does indeed pass by when you’re having fun, especially for me watching & typing on the excellence of Price every weekday morning/afternoon. As usual, Price didn’t fail to entertain viewers, including contestants, loyal friends & true, and those just stopping by for that occasional hour of fun at 10:00 AM (Central Standard Time). We’ve seen history made (and some made up by Bob for the fun of it, even producer Roger joined in), Million Dollar Spectaculars ($1 million given away or not, most of them lived up to the name “spectacular”, Bob turning the big 8-0 (Celebrated in daytime & primetime, including the now cancelled Wayne Brady Show), along with his induction into Television’s Hall of Fame, and the arrival of Mr. Rich Fields living up to the predecessors Rod Roddy and Johnny Olson.

Aside from the best of this year, there were plenty of rough times Price had to face, the most obvious one being Rod’s death after a long illness. At least we know he’s no longer under the illness that is cancer anymore. Shortly after, a line up of announcers (including Mr. Burton Richardson, or “Rich Burt”) came about to try out for the position left cold by Rod. At least 2 had the right stuff for the announcer position and these fellows are CBS 2 weatherman Rich Fields and Supermarket Sweep announcer Randy West. Randy may have been a favorite with many Price viewer communities, but it was Rich that proved that he’s much worthy of announcing for Price. Expect Fields to call folks to “come on down”, describe prizes/items, and interact with Bob for many years to come. Since loyal friends & true should know, Price’s modeling position has been in rotation mode since the firings of Janice Pennington and Kathleen Bradley, thanks to that darn lawsuit by former model Holly. If only she had left the show (she was planning on leaving at first) without any problems with Bob and rest of the crew, none of the firings would have ever happened. Oh well, 70% of the time this model rotating is not bad (besides, it's nice to see a different face once in a while). It’s just that some are not worthy of working on the show (Lanisha is a good example). There is still a chance for a more regular trio of “Barker’s Beauties”, Price and especially Fremantle Media (USA) just have to overcome the dark cloud formed by folks such as Holly and Diane.

As for me, keeping this site warm since Colin & Jesse gave me the job of posting in October, keeping viewers informed on the latest happenings behind Price, and adding my own take on the show, this has been an excellent gift for this long time Price viewer. This is more than just a responsibility, it’s a Price viewer’s ultimate hobby (my others include drawing, golf, and computers). Don’t expect me to leave this gift lying around in the dust (the Internet), there will always be something posted with the name “Mario500” every weekday. That’s right, even this summer! Like Price, we’re in reruns too! If it weren’t for you, the reader, the Price viewer, well, lets just not get into those details. Enjoy the summer and any Price you missed!

Colin and Jesse shall return…..eventually! (Most likely updating the rest of the site)

Post your comments on Year 32 under "Comments".

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6056)

Triple Play: Martin wins; Dodge Neon ($16,035) Dodge Dakota ($20,035) Ford Mustang Convertible ($24,725)

Clock Game: Emily wins (7 seconds left); Bestrew Table ($799) and Washer/Dryer ($918) (+$1000)

Bullseye: Eliana lost; Living Room Group

Showcase Showdown #1: Eliana wins with 85 cents

Most Expensive: Mahali wins; Refrigerator, Pool Table (Most Expensive), and Baker’s Rack

Secret X: Crystal lost; Trip to China

Dice Game: Horace lost; Ford Taurus ($21,355)

Showcase Showdown #2: Horace wins with 75 cents

Showcase: Horace wins; Bedroom Group, Portable DVD Player, and Spa ($18,635 in prizes)

After Bob’s attempt to make Martin a really big winner “Tony the Tiger” style, we find out Triple Play is soon to be played. The audience is to thank for Martin even reaching the Dodge Dakota, so he relied mostly on them for the rest of the game. Emily, who’s first words to Bob on stage were “I love you!” who’s lucky number happens to be 11 (also the amount of time spent on winning the table), proves her Price knowledge includes the legendary Clock Game. After her Clock Game victory, we find Emily celebrating with Roger & Company a couple of seconds away. If only Eliana didn’t go way off target with the first item (10 boxes of pasta = $25.90), she would have conquered the eye of the bull. Horace’s first bid in Contestant’s Row was neither $2500, $3500, or even $5500, but $4500 on a motorcycle. Mahali performed a Most Expensive victory dance of some sorts for us. April, a “First Four” contestant, unfortunately pull the ultimate comeback of today’s show. At first, it appeared to be an unlucky day for Horace, then the Big Wheel rolled in for him. Our two comeback contestants (thanks to the Big Wheel) witnessed the return of the eliminator of unwanted gifts, the Prizenator (starring Rachel) in Showcase #1, which was later passed to Eliana. It was tough, but Horace managed to pull through at the end, even though his first bid in Contestant’s Row was almost outrageously high. Sorry folks, no Rich on stage since this show was taped before he got himself more time on camera.

(Tomorrow, the other Price originally slated for last week will air. My Video Cassette Recorder is ready!)

Wednesday, June 16

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6061)

Credit Card: Rachel wins (Credit Limit $2500); TV, Chair, Flatware, Exercise Equipment, and Vacuum

Pushover: Juan lost; Gazebo ($6350)

5 Price Tags: Mary Ann lost with 2 Tags; Ford Mustang ($18,345)

Showcase Showdown #1: Mary Ann wins with 95 cents

Switch?: Ronald wins with a “Stay”; Clock and Dining Room Table

That’s Too Much: Johnsie lost; Pontiac Grand AM ($19,145)

Pick A Pair: Maureen wins (Conditioner and Cleaner: $3.99); Dining Room Table

Showcase Showdown #2: Ronald wins with 80 cents

Showcase: Ronald wins; Sofa, Spa, Dodge Ram ($34,949 in prizes)

Donna’s bid of 1999 may have been a good year for Price, but it was the year 1964 that granted Rachel’s escape from Contestant’s Row to do a little shopping with plastic. Perfect time for the “32nd Year” picture featured on Rachel’s new TV set, since this was the final show taped for Year 32. Rich was for sure he can call Ronald to come on down, or should I say “back on down”. Ronald removed his hat to show off his well-done hair. In spite of some weirdo groups of the audience (Maureen wearing a “Marry Me Bob” shirt and a group claiming their puppets sneaked in) and professional lighting men forgetting where the switch for the brightest light shining on Bob is, the show must go on. Sadly for Price's very own sweet Mary Ann, she picked 2 price tags other than the cheapest featured. Oregon of Las Vegas (see shirt) collapsed as she was coming on down, but managed to get up with applause from the audience and a “welcome to California!” from Bob. Ronald a loyal friend & true for Georgia “stays” instead of making a switch. I guess the "Clock" sign couldn't handle Rachel's strength, explaing its fall. A great surprise to Bob indeed, as Maureen was called to come on down. After her frightening life long admiration for Bob previously, it was time to summon a CBS page to protect him from this particular lady. Bob was so frightened of Maureen that he interrupted Rich as he was describing the plug in. Johnsie may believe That’s Too Much is the hardest game on the show, but she sure knows how to play. Besides, plenty of winners left this game with a car, all part of Bob’s encouragement for Johnsie. Only one flaw during the game, her shout of “That’s Too Much!” was below average. All of Ronald’s prizes were provided by Price’s very own pet hotel (all pets spayed or neutered). He was up and ready for the Dodge Ram, but first he must do the following: Join his crew and hug each model. Don’t worry, Rich was able to join!

(Today's Price may be the final show of Year 32, but we still have 2 more to view this week before we can something like "every show of Year 32 has aired". Expect my final thoughts on this year and the future of Price. Plus, I hope that y'all the loyal friends & true do the same Friday.)

(In case you didn't notice, this site was down for a few hours due to our host site PC Playground falling asleep at the wheel.)

Tuesday, June 15

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6060)

Eazy Az 1, 2, 3: Patrick wins; Cookware, Luggage, and Golf Equipment

It’s In The Bag: Amy lost $4000

One Away: Cora wins; Chevy Malibu ($19,475)

Showcase Showdown #1: Patrick wins with $1.00 + 15 cents ($6000)

Squeeze Play: Tina lost; Trip to Bangkok ($7155)

Pathfinder: Linda lost; Ford Escape (2005 model) ($20,745)

Barker’s Bargain Bar: Aaron lost; Computer and Cradle

Showcase Showdown #2: Linda wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Linda wins; “The Price is Right Train Depot” Showcase, Dining Room Table, Treadmill, and Grand Piano ($18,165 in prizes)

Patrick a recent high school graduate for Colorado listened to the audience’s chant of “$1201” and said that winning bid on a combination Refrigerator/Freezer. Bob asked our future college student about his prize plans and it turns out Patrick won’t be doing much cooking in his dormitory. Rich tried his best to make a winner out of Steven, but throughout today’s show he struggled make the big escape out of Contestant’s Row. Carmen the Dog was brought forward to the eyes of Price viewers and she already has at least 2 admirers in the audience. Wonder if she’s still up for adoption today? 18-year-old Amy, another future college student, a loyal friend & true, unfortunately needs a job to earn money to further her education in order to find an excellent career in life. Cora looked like a winner in the eyes of Bob and she turned out to be a big winner indeed. Why a “big winner” you may have asked? She had all 5 numbers right on the first run through One Away. Along with golf clubs and luggage, Patrick has no need to worry financially about college with $6000 to spare. Squeeze Play earns itself another lost, with one less visitor to Bangkok to show for. Steven showed his desperation by relying on 2 sides of the audience. Linda assumed the Ford Escape is around $29,000 since it’s a 2005 model, but it was that mistake that sealed her fate. Aaron, a “First Four” contestant, surprisingly escapes Contestant’s Row and a picture perfect “Row Hug” for a little bargain hunting. Linda surprises herself with a score of 95 cents on the Big Wheel. Showcase #1 featured a sparkling dress on Rachel’s person. The Price is Right Train Depot returns with Teri as your conductor. Mr. Rich Fields makes his latest appearance on stage, this time congratulating Linda. Nice suit by the way!

(Tomorrow, the last show taped for Year 32! Surprises may be waiting for us, so get those VCRs ready)

Monday, June 14

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6059)

Step Up: Jamie lost; Alto Saxophone, Sofa, Refrigerator, and Motorcycle

Let ‘Em Roll: Frank wins with 2 Rolls: Chevy Aveo

Bonkers: John lost; Trip to Mexico ($3230)

Showcase Showdown #1: John wins with $1.00 ($1000)

Cliffhangers: Matthew lost; Bedroom Group

Cover Up: Sara wins; Ford Focus (2005 model) ($19,380)

Double Prices: Rita wins; Entertainment Center and TV ($6618)

Showcase Showdown #2: Sara wins with 35 cents

Showcase: Sara wins; “The Flag Day Showcase” Large USA Flag, Trip to Philadelphia, Boat ($53,385 in prizes)

Shortly after Jamie’s unfortunate lost, Bob gave her the good news that she’ll be spinning the Big Wheel in the upcoming Showcase Showdown. Before Frank said his winning bid, Bob summoned Matthew to show off the latest in clothing, a small shirt revealing his tummy (or belly). If Bob ever decides to do the same, expect him to do a couple or more sit-ups before revealing what Matthew showed us. A Chevy Aveo is one of those prizes Bob loves to give to a sailor (especially on his day of birth) and the Navy’s Frank successfully won this car on the first roll. First time all 5 cubes showed a car on the first roll, without a single one falling to the floor. In a way, history was made! After winning himself a $500 bonus for his perfect bid, John gives folks in the game show fanatic community a throw back to Ed Long from the famous (or infamous) Press Your Luck shows featuring Paul Michael Larson. Bob was close to giving John the send off until today’s Showcase before he realized that John has a bonus spin to win up to $10,000 or $5000. Surprise! Matthew escapes Contestant’s Row with lots of applause and whistling. After our mountain climber’s fall to the jagged rocks below, Bob compliments Matthew on his stomach looking good for television. Sara the schoolteacher wins herself a 2005 model of Ford Focus. Rich was sure that our next contestant to come on down is a lady and that would be San Francisco’s Rita. One bid later, our lady from “Frisco” escapes to win (not rent) a center for all her entertainment needs. Matthew and Rita dropped out like flies in Showcase Showdown #2, paving Sara’s way to today’s Showcase. Showcase #2 was dedicated to the Stars and Stripes on this Flag Day, including red, white, and blue swim clothing on Rachel’s person. We end today’s show with Sara being congratulated by; you guessed it (really?) Mr. Rich Fields our announcer.

(Year 32 of Price may be ending Wednesday, but it’s not over ‘til last week’s shows pre-empted air Thursday and Friday. Get those VCRs ready, because like last year’s pre-empted that aired shortly after the final show of Year 31, something very interesting and historic may occur.)

(This message is dedicated to Miss Ross, the creator of the Stars and Stripes design of our flag)

Friday, June 11

Today's Airing of The Price is Right (Original Air Date 1-21-2004)

Clock Game: Jenny wins; Refrigerator and Chaise

Showcase: Diane wins; Trip to New York, Motorcycle, and Ford F-150 ($43,796 in prizes)

(Today's Price rerun was only seen by a very small majority of North Americans, excluding myself. Looking through outside sources on this particular show may be tough and time consuming, but keeping the Price viewers well informed was worth the effort.)

Thursday, June 10

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6057)

Barker’s Bargain Bar: Daniel wins; Sofa and Exercise Equipment

Plinko: Doris wins $2500 with 3 Plinko Chips

Temptation: Corey wins Freezer, Go Cart Vehicle, Irish Crystals, Binoculars; Pontiac Sunfire $16,435

Showcase Showdown #1: Doris wins with 70 cents

Double Prices: Adam lost; Trip to Mexico City ($2704)

Now or Then: Sarah wins (“Then” March 1997); Bedroom Group

Any Number: Luis wins Desk Set ($845); Pontiac Grand AM ($19,260)

Showcase Showdown #2: Sarah wins with $1.00 ($1000)

Showcase: Sarah wins; Karaoke machine, Old Fashioned Bathtub, and Buick Century ($40,388 in prizes)

There was no doubt in Bob’s mind that Daniel is winner #1, considering the very low difference in Price on the sofa ($200). Members of the audience chanted “Plinko” shortly after Rich told Doris the good news. Today’s Plinko winnings may not compare to yesterday’s rerun total of $10,100, but $2500 is still a whole lot of loot for Doris. Corey of Murphy’s Burl, Tennessee listened to his wife’s mother Bessie for advice to not go for the Pontiac Sunfire. Bob can see this type of relationship between son-in-laws and mother-in-laws last many years from today. Lauren of Contestant’s Row shortly joined her fellow contestants before Lanisha was summoned to come on down while showing off her ring finger. I applaud the decision for a change in her hairstyle, since the previous one practically burned my eyes every time. She may be easier on the eyes (particularly mine), but that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s most worthy of a much regular position on Price. Unfortunately for Daniel, who even tried leaving Bob’s side to stand under the Showcase Showdown scoreboard before the Big Wheel even stopped, listened to old Bessie to spin again. His fate was sealed at that very moment. Our audience’s very own contestant coordinator didn’t decide Corey’s fate of going over in the Showdown. Air Force representative Adam (of Erie, Michigan) picked a price that his mother would pick in Double Prices. Looks like Cancun remains the only Mexican place Adam has visited. Luis, a favorite among the screaming females of the audience, a winner of the Desk Set, always wanted to spin the Big Wheel since he was a little boy. Today’s Showcase #2 featured “falsettos”; the best according to this writer’s very humble opinion belongs to Rachel. Both Showcase contestants’ bids were quite low, but Toronto’s very own Sarah prevailed after Bob revealed her Showcase’s actual retail price. We end this week’s original shows with our announcer Mr. Rich Fields walking on stage to congratulate Sarah. That’s right, CBS decided to hold the split screen credits for a few more seconds.

(Tune in next week for the last few shows of Year 32, including this week’s pre-empted shows)

Tuesday, June 8

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6055)

Switch?: Brittany wins with a “Switch”; Armoire and Dining Room Table

Pushover: Elliot lost; Entertainment Center and TV ($7248)

Showcase Showdown #2: Suzette wins with 80 cents

Showcase: Brittany wins; Kayak, Trip to St. Thomas, and Ford Explorer ($42,605 in prizes)

I wonder what that audience was chanting as Bob welcomed all to today’s show? Sounded like, “Bob, Bob, Bob!” Unbelievable! Brittany, a former high school student from Colorado, a life long resident of North America, has never seen Price in all her 18 years of life. Bob joked telling her to leave to stage (with audience applause) and she took it very well. Folks, we have an all new loyal friend & true in our debt after winning “Switch?” Before our next item up for bids was revealed, Bob assured us that Amy has viewed the show previously. Amy’s long bout with the Punchboard ended with not $100, $50, or $100 again, but a slip worth $10,000! Rich had no need to fear the audience’s separate opinions (low voices said “yeah!” and high voices said “no!”) on what gender should be called to come on down next. Christina was the lucky lady to make the run to Contestant’s Row after that situation. Lets see, Spade/Neuter stamp pictures featured with a pool table, oh yeah it’s time for Gizmo the Dog to be introduced. Looks like an member of the audience wants to adopt Gizmo already, but first she must get to the SPCA LA shelter quick. James represents the Omaha (Nebraska) Police Department while playing today’s Card Game. Brittany continues to amaze loyal Price viewers as she spins the Big Wheel for 95 cents. If only Suzette had done the opposite of Brittany’s playing of “Switch?” with those 2 prizes, she would have won all 4 Race Game prizes. Scott escapes Contestant’s Row at last for a little passing of the buck! Yet another “First Four” contestant finally escapes and that would Elliot. Too bad he continued to push when he had the correct price of $7248. Brittany didn’t need the viewing experience of Price to successfully complete her journey from Colorado to today’s Showcase and back with a total of $42,605 in prizes.

(Brittany is inspiration to all that have never seen Price!)

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6054)

Money Game: Joseph wins; Ford Focus ($15,395)

Half Off: Ollie wins $10,000 (Box #10 and All 3 Halves)

Coming or Going: Kelly lost by “Going”; Bed ($5534)

Showcase Showdown #1: Joseph wins with 80 cents

Barker’s Markers: Scott wins; Grandfather Clock, Couch, and Desk (+$500)

That’s Too Much: Effie wins; Pontiac Vibe ($18,220)

Hit Me: Josefa lost; Dining Room Group

Showcase Showdown #2: Effie wins with $2.00 ($11,000!)

Showcase: Joseph wins; Refrigerator, Trip to Portugal, and Boat ($39,371 in prizes)

Joseph, a loyal friend & true since he was a “wee tot” as Bob described him was rewarded the prize for anyone under that title, a gas powered vehicle. After hugging Bob, Joseph bowed to the audience. Some members of the audience were amazed over Half Off’s sound effect as half of the boxes featured on 3 rows were removed. Ollie became Half Off’s 2nd winner as $10,000 in cash poured out of Box #10. Not even the digit’s in the price of the bed knew whether they were “Coming or Going”, as Bob described his trouble of “Coming”. We found out that Ollie has plans on using a portion of her winnings to go back to school. I guess Half Off’s length of time explains why viewers were unable to hear Rich give out the ticket address, along with viewing the rest of Joseph’s reaction. Scott was up and ready for $500, but first he must complete place Bob’s markers beside their rightful prices. There turned out to be something more to Effie than I even imagined after her great escape from Contestant’s Row. After defeating the “That’s Too Much” price line (one price ahead managed to show up after price #2 was revealed. Anyway, it didn't effect the game at all.), Effie made her grand run to her Pontiac Vibe. Nope, she didn’t drive, but she did get out for the run back to Bob. Another “Joe” joins us, a Josefa to be exact. We found out that Josefa’s mother, a Price viewer herself is 101 years of age. That’s 1 year ahead a fellow contestant (played Switcharoo: The Unlimited Time Version) that recently turned the big 1-0-0.

Showcase Showdown: Effie Steals the Show!

Scott, Josefa, and Bob were unaware of the upcoming events in the Showdown involving a hyper Effie. As she was saying hello to plenty of relatives, a certain spot on the Big Wheel marked “$1.00” was coming down for a stop in the middle. After Bob got her attention, she jumped in victory while making a run beside the Turntable and the Big Wheel. With the possibility of injury in mind, Bob hid beside the Big Wheel clutching his microphone. After her famous run, Effie finds out that her shoes went loose. After spinning the Big Wheel for an extra $10,000, this time Effie ran across the stage while a semi-frightened Bob carries those shoes belonging to her. After performing her next act in victory, “The Price Floor Angel” (spreading her arms and legs on the floor), Bob was brave enough to return those pesky shoes. We end today’s Showcase Showdown #2 with Bob’s final facial reaction. Another moment for the archives!

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6053)

Clock Game: Kara wins; Dining Room Table ($599) and Treadmill ($798) (+$1000)

Eazy Az 1, 2, 3: Jason lost; Hostess Set, Washer/Dryer, and Drum Set

On the Spot: Janie lost; Ford Mustang

Showcase Showdown #1: Jason wins with 95 cents

Coming or Going: Dixie wins by “Going”; Trip to Rio de Janeiro ($6457)

Dice Game: Dorita wins; Chevy Aveo ($14,535)

Now or Then: Linda lost (“Then” September 1996); Entertainment Center and TV

Showcase Showdown #2: Linda wins with 60 cents

Showcase: Jason wins; Large USA Flag, Trip to Washington, D.C., and Jeep Wrangler ($26,536)

Amazing! Rich Fields didn’t introduce Bob before and after making his entrance. The legendary Clock Game returns to take on another contestant and that would Kara, who happened to be the game’s latest slayer thanks to having her game knowledge and course remaining a loyal friend and true. After realizing what he was getting himself into, along with Bob referring to him under the lines of a “crazy kid”, Jason gets back to playing with the Eazy Az 1, 2, 3 blocks. Unfortunately, he didn’t think about the Washer & Dryer possibly being the 2nd most expensive prizes. Rodney of the audience performed a song for all at Studio 33 during a commercial break. Would have been interesting to hear Rich sing, but he must save that voice for Janie (fan of David Letterman) to come on down. Even when the entire audience was silent for Janie to communicate with her older sister, she had no idea which item Janie should choose next. Dixie may not be leaving for “The Heart of Dixie”, but Rio is still a nice city to visit. Dorita managed to make Anna stay put in Contestant’s Row after her attempt of coming up on stage. Both Dixie and Janie began their spins of the Big Wheel on a bad note. Yep, Bob helped these two young people spin. Jason ends this week by winning a patriotic Showcase! Due to CBS’ split screen credits & promotions; none of the viewers were able to see our Rich on stage. Better luck next time!

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6052)

Most Expensive: Charlotte wins; Stove, Clock (Most Expensive), and Daybed

Plinko: Marcell wins $21,500 with 4 Plinko Chips

Cover Up: Lindsay wins; Pontiac Grand AM ($19,580)

Showcase Showdown #1: Marcell wins with 90 cents

Double Prices: Sherry wins; Computer Cabinet ($4255)

Ten Chances: Michael wins Crepe Maker ($30); Karaoke Machine ($960) and Chevy Malibu

Grocery Game: Lauren lost (over by 57 cents); Living Room Group

Showcase Showdown #2: Sherry wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Sherry wins; Trip to Santa Fe, Finland, and a Boat ($31,586 in prizes)

Charlotte of Georgia’s winning bid of $900 on a popcorn cart was a far cry from her Contestant’s Row neighbor’s bid of $2100. Not even 48-year-old grand pappy Marcell can shock Bob, since there have been plenty of contestants such as him behaving like grandchildren. Marcell would later show the energy of a grandchild after conquering the Plinko board with $21,500. Lindsay successfully won herself a Pontiac without any mistakes (the only mistake made was by the sound folks before Bob even asked if her choices are right). So far, so good, 3 winners in a row and Marcell’s the lucky one to spin his way to today’s Showcase. Arizona’s Sherry, a loyal friend & true since the crib was truly ready for the stage. One bid later, she escapes for a playing of Double Price. Bob was close to getting hit by a tennis ball courtesy of the well-known Lobster Tennis Ball Machine (under the control Rachel, or was that Teri. Could it be that Lanisha’s smile burned my eyes previously?). Michael seemed to know how Ten Chances, but from Chances 2-10, he was slowing going downhill. Another close encounter with one of the big doors, this time involved Teri in a small vehicle up for bids. Georgia Bull Dog fan Lauren, the other little girl (other than Sherry, according to Bob) went over the Grocery Game’s $20-$21 range by 57 cents. Showcase #1 featured Lanisha and Teri in young girl clothing pondering over questions such as “Where Do Fins Comes From?” The answer is Finland, silly “Jillies” (The female version of “Silly Billy”). Sherry ends today’s show with a Showcase bid difference in the $400-$500 range. Enjoy grand pappy hood, Marcell!

(Nope, no shrinking screens and no Jere Hough. Normal day for Price viewers on the Gulf Coast!)

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6051)

Make Your Move: Teresa wins; Piano ($6350) Dining Room Table ($814) and Labeler ($30)

Pathfinder: Claudia wins; Chevy Colorado ($22,735)

One Wrong Price: Melissa lost; Clock, Refrigerator (Wrong Price), and Bar Table

Showcase Showdown #1: Melissa wins with 95 cents

Pick A Number: Mary lost; Brass Bed ($5250)

Check Out: Andrea wins ($1.50 was difference); Living Room Group and Vacuum

Money Game: Tracy wins $195; Dodge Neon ($15,125)

Showcase Showdown #2: Andrea wins with $1.00 ($1000)

Showcase: Andrea wins; Trips to Jamaica, Ireland, China, and New Zealand ($32,535 in prizes)

Teresa places a kiss on Bob’s famous right cheek for both herself and mother. Claudia’s state of excitement while coming on down was only the beginning of something more, such as actually hugging & shaking Bob to show her happiness. “Don’t hurt Bob!” was the audience’s response for that. Mr. Rich Fields still had plenty of enthusiasm when repeating this particular model of Chevy trucks. From a state of excitement to a state of shock & joy capped off Claudia’s Pathfinder victory. Unfortunately, Claudia’s streak of excitement wouldn’t go pass Showcase Showdown #2. Mary tried pulling one of Claudia’s moves as she escaped Contestant’s Row. Her playing of Pick A Number was not seen by Price viewers in the Gulf Coast region due to WKRG-TV5’s Jere Hough report on the storms facing us. Andrea a resident of Kansas would rise from the check out counter of Check Out to a Showcase featuring a variety of trips.

(It may have been normal for 99.5% of Price viewers today, but for everyone in Mobile and the rest of the Gulf Coast, that was not true. I have received word over the "Pricelines" (outside sources) that our announcer Rich will be on stage at the end of each show starting Friday. Your comments are welcome, so just place them under "Comments".)

Today’s Airing of The Price is Right (#6050)

The Golden Road: John wins Cookware; Pair of Rocking Chairs and Mobil Home

Pushover: Rachel wins; Trip to Vancouver ($3248)

Cliffhangers: Joy wins (8 Steps); Bedroom Group

Showcase Showdown #1: Rachel wins with $1.00 ($1000)

One Right Price: Kristi wins; Digital Piano ($2195) and Dual Tricycle

Any Number: Azalea wins $8.42; Buick Century ($23,176)

Hi Lo: Stephanie wins; Catamaran

Showcase Showdown #2: Kristi wins with 95 cents

Showcase: Rachel wins; Computer, Appliances, and Trailer ($26,859 in prizes)

Azalea of Nicaragua says she’s been watching Price since birth (or shortly after) and still does every morning. Could this mean a possible raise in Bob’s paycheck after hearing the news of Price being broadcast in Nicaragua? This “retroactive” case lies in the hands of Bob’s attorney, or lawyer if you much prefer that. Rachel celebrates her 18th year of living by winning a trip to Canada through a pushover. It only took 8 simple steps to Joy’s namesake! Nope, Mima of Contestant’s Row is no jeweler just because she asked for the brand name of those jewels brought down from the ceiling of Studio 33(Crouton Jewels). Before Kristi got to play One Right Price, she mentioned her recent engagement just a day before the show. Her shirt and (real) ring proves all of that. Due to the powers of the Outside World and Dan Rather, the rest of the second half of Price was not seen by a large majority of viewers in North America. By the way, only CBS and ABC broke into regular programming. From around 10:31 to 11:08 AM, reality took over CBS without any constant weather news crawls and radar maps from WKRG-TV5. Tomorrow will be normal!

(Once again, I had to rely on some outside source to finish the summary of today’s show)
